The money will be used to ensure the clinical
data necessary for WCB to link with outcome information
is entered onto the all Wales Cancer information
database (CanISC) and will also allow WCB to develop
the database to include digital images. In order
to supply researchers with a variety of biomaterials,
nucleic acids will be extracted from the tissue
and blood samples and the processing and associated
costs will also be covered by this grant.
The grant starts in September 2006
and will run for five years. WCB would like to
thank CRW and all its supporters for this funding.
